When a conference has different sessions and the participant registers only to sessions on specific days, the normal badge will have a continuous validity for the entire period of the sessions selected.
The conference/category manager decides for each representation type what shall be the default badge issuing criteria.
Default Badge Validity is needed for Event using sessions, it can be set up under the Category or under the event.
Default Badge Validity Criteria:
- event – start/end dates are the same as the Event
- session – start/end dates are in the range of Registrant’s selected sessions
- daily – start/end dates are for 1 day only
- daily_session – start/end dates are for 1 day only within the Registrant’s selected sessions
Set up Badge Validity Under the Category
On the management area, you click on Default badge validity:
Then click on New default Badge validity Criteria
Select the Rep Type
Then click on Criteria to select Session duration and save:
As you can see below it has been added to the Category but it can also be done under a specific event:
Set up Badge Validity Under the Event:
All representation types, under event settings: “Customization → Default badge validity”,
- The event must have sessions under the timetable.
- The session must be enabled in the registration form.
Same action as you did at the level of the Category.
