In the event management menu, under Protection, select General.
Category Protection
Here, under Permissions, you may add other Category Managers to the category. Click User/Group, search for the user and then add him/her. Click Save. At this point the user only has Access to the category. In order to be able to carry out managerial in the category, click the pencil icon beside the user and assign the Manage permission. Click Save.
Protection Mode
Public: anyone may view the category.
Inheriting: the category inherits the protection mode of the parent category.
Protected: only users on a defined access list or administrators may access the category. Rarely used.
No Access Contact (for denied access to a category)
For categories that are protected or have a restricted access list, manager(s) may opt to insert a contact email or telephone number that will appear on-screen in an Access Denied message when users try to access the category. Use this field to enter the contact information.
Event Creation Settings
By default, a category is set at Restricted to authorised users. This means only those listed above under Permissions may create events at the category and sub-category (if any) level.
Be warned, if you set the category at “Unrestricted” anyone who has access to the management area of an event may clone it to create another event. This is not recommended.
